06.15.07 @ 8:51PM - Heh. I lied. I never uploaded any updates.
I've been so busy as of late. Really, it's all personal stuff and job stuff (I got a salaried job and I love it!) and school stuff and life stuff that you could read about on various blogs if you're really that curious. None of the writing stuff I wrote about below went anywhere (heh...) but I did win a scholarship to take two classes at Dickinson College my senior year (if you have been here from the beginning, you may remember that I hosted Adrienne's Hogwarts on my Dickinson webspace. I'm really excited about this opportunity and plan to use it to take a poetry class in fall and fiction class in spring). Things really have been looking up recently and I'm really excited about the direction my life seems to be going.
That said, I updated the links a little. I really hope I can really work on this website this summer. I've been so busy since summer started (eight days ago) that I haven't even had time to think about updating. But maybe. I'd like to use my other, unused domain for something, and totally redo this website from the ground up. I mean, it's about time. I've only been changing layouts since version two or three, but there are some stupid pages that really shouldn't be taking up the space they do....

02.13.07 @ 3:39PM - I AM STILL ALIVE! (Six months. That has to be some kind of record.)
Uhm, I messed with the main page. I don't know what's going on as far as popups, because I visited my own website for the first time in like three months and got bombarded. Uh, I pay for my webspace, too....
I really want to ditch this site and totally redesign. You know what I also want to do? Start a business with my other domain name (fogbutton.com). What kind of business? No idea! (I actually have a few ideas, but not ones I plan to divulge at this very moment.)
My high school got a total of five Scholastic Writing gold awards, and I won two of them (personal essay and poetry). I also won a silver (short short story). Exciting, exciting. The golds (Precious and a poetry collection called Waltzing) are going on to nationals. I'm applying to a few writing camps for the summer, also, which is pretty exciting.
Anyway, if I redesign the site I'm going to go for a change of pace and incorporate an image I made in my commercial art class. (I need to look up how to get them as Windows files if they're Mac files currently....) I'm thinking of going with bright colors, instead of this monotonous blue thing. I'd redo every single page

08.14.06 @ 10:38AM - Hopefully I have gotten rid of that evil popup once and for all. I don't have a stats tracker anymore, but maybe I can get one from my host.

07.17.06 @ 7:00PM - Uhm, wow, been a while, hasn't it?
The only real new thing to update on is the new layout. Check it out. Isn't it blue?! (Hence the name, y'know.) I was going to put up a different layout I started making before school let out (you know... way back in June) called Storm Clouds, but it looked terrible compared to this one, and I couldn't get a few things just right. Today I realized Marie's current layout is called Storm Clouds too! Uh, yeah, just something I noticed. ^_^;
I guess this layout still has a little work to do on it, there's no CSS jazzing it up at all. I shall change that... eventually. Yeah. For now, though, anything that's underlined is actually a link. They're the same color as the text though, ew. That will have to change.

I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day! ^_^ I'm off school until Tuesday the 21st, so hopefully between ceaseless musical practices and rushed cello-practicing for the playing test the day we get back, I'll have time to update. O_o
In the meantime, check out the new lyrics minisite (still a work-in-progress).

01.31.06 @ 7:22AM - I got gold and silver keys (one each) in Scholastic Writing's senior division, as well as two certificates of merit. The certificates were for "Vacation" and "Tumbling After" (which I was hoping would get a gold - oh well >_<), the silver key is for "Distractions", and the gold is for "Hourglasses", which is, remarkably enough, posted here for your enjoyment. Hopefully it will lead me on to a gold medal in nationals! ^___^ I put this information on the writing index, but I still need to upload the more recent stories, so it'll be a while before you can read anything but that gold winner.
I added some IM snippets for March of 2004, if you're interested. Maybe someday I'll catch up to the present! Scary thought. Revolutionary, even. I'm looking back on these and thinking, "holy crap, Ara was my age in these!"
Yes.
I'm trying to decide whether to ditch the majority of the image sections. (You know, backgrounds, lines, and buttons. Not blinkies, dolls, or probably web stationary. But I doubt I'll ever go on a line-making spree again, unless I have another sick day like today this school year.) What do you think?

Updated the book reviews with some books I've read in the past... eh... year... and a bunch of little pink stars. I also updated the Dictionaddy, so now it's mostly up-to-date.

01.18.06 @ 4:14PM - Happy new year everyone! I've made a resolution to try and be more on top of things, so we'll see how that goes. In any case, I want to work on adding some odd new parts to the site in the near future. *Grins* I'll be sure to update the NotifyList when I do.
Sometime eventually, I want to cut down my poetry and writing sections and only include things worth reading. Sad as it is, most of my old poetry's getting tossed in the garbage bin (well, not exactly, I'm tucking it away somewhere, but I'll still have it). Le sigh. I want to work on pruning the image sections too, making the site more organized (but give it more creative navigation than "you", "me", and "site"... we'll see what I come up with), maybe working on putting up more layouts, especially layouts for Diaryland. The site's layout will eventually get updated, too.
I'll be finding out about the results of my submission to Scholastic soon too, as well as my application to the PA Governor's School of the Arts! Whoo hoo! Wish me luck. O_o (Wow, I ended the last update with that too. o_O)
